OH YEAH! The fucker got me and he got me good, several times. So he won – God knows how with his huge belly and itty bitty legs - and now Stephen gets the money. Well, I guess we don’t get to go to our favourite vacation spot. I asked him when he wants the cheque.
He said, “Here’s the deal…” (Deal? Hmmm…) “Why don’t you keep $500 of it as a consolation prize because you did so well and you now need new clothes since your current ones are all too big?”
Do I have the best husband in the whole wide world or WHAT???? J My belt is even too big!
Now let’s take a look at how I actually did. I did pretty well! I don’t think I did too shabby a job. I mean, there was two weeks in February where I totally slacked off (hmmm that was 2-4 pounds I could have lost towards my goal); then there was the week in March where I picked up a bacterial infection. I could have still run but I got overtired and just didn’t feel that I could or should.
But I’ve lost a total of 15 pounds in these three months without too too much effort. And if you count the 3 pounds I gained in the first few days, I kinda lost 18 pounds.
What else have I gained from this adventure?
- I am so much more active now.
- I spend more time with my daughter.
- I run at least every two days (love it) and try to go 6 days a week because I love it so much.
- I’ve started walking almost every evening with my daughter as part of her bedtime process and we sometimes talk Daddy into coming too. Little did I know that a five year old could handle a 1.5 mile walk lol…with whining of course, but she did it!
- Here’s a biggie, one I didn’t think was going to happen…I actually LOOK FORWARD to exercising every day.
So in a nutshell, I’m a work in progress! Here are my new goals:
2nd Quarter Goals
Current Weight: 170
Start Date: Monday, April 4th
Goal Date: June 30
Total Time: 13 weeks
Weight Goal: 13 pounds (this goal is changeable depending on how things go since it’s not set in stone that a body can keep losing one pound a week consistently.
2nd Quarter sub goals #1

Total Time: 4 weeks
Weight Goal: 4 pounds
New goal setting date: April 30th
What will be a requirement to obtain these goals?
- This time I really want to input what I eat in my Calorie Counter app from About.com.
- Go back to blogging. This really was helping me get so excited and I was told by people that I was inspiring them.
- Go back to taking pictures of my dinners. This actually made me feel very good when I could actually see the nutrition loaded on that plate.
- I need to eat more food. Really, throughout the day I wasn’t eating enough. There were times where my body probably was in starvation mode. I wasn’t always as conscious as I should have been throughout the day.
- Continue to use miCoach app from Addidas, Runtastic app and the Biggest Loser Facebook App. These are always fun to use. And they’re great for tracking progress!
And here are some comparison pictures to mark my progress. I realize the pictures were taken at different distances, however, I think you can see the improvements on the pics on the right. These pics are dated as Jan 1st for before and Mar 22 for after.

And I can get into my semi-skinny jeans again, I can basically pull them right on and there's no effort doing them up!!!!!! How exciting is THAT????
